Fall Risk Assessment and Intervention The Home Therapy Services' difference: In addition to evaluating and establishing a Plan of Care as per the norm in home health, HTS also performsa Fall Risk Assessment: a compilation of twelve (12) standardized tests used to objectively quantify and discover fall risks in our patients. This data not only allows us to treat and improve balance deficits more efficiently, it also allows us to objectively measure decreased fall risk. Please see our Fall Prevention page for more details.
Low Vision and Environmental Assessments Our physical and occupational therapists are trained to identify the environmental risk factors associated with falls and loss of functional independence. Low Vision is a significant fall risk. Visual impairments is often a hidden disability. 20/50 vision (or worse) will affect balance. Addressing the Low Vision and Environmental Risk factors while treating and improving the physical risk factors can significantly reduce the likelihood of falling. Please see our Fall Prevention page for more details.
Retainer Therapy Services and Private Pay Medicare, and most insurance companies, will not cover maintenance or long term home care. Therefore, HTS offersprivate pay (out of pocket) and Retainer Therapy services.
Private pay- since the recipient (or family) is paying out of pocket per visit, the number of visits and duration of service is not limited, nor does the patient need to be "homebound". HTS will provide our qualified professionals to meet your needs. We never require a contracted or guaranteed number of visits, we will arrange services to meet you requests and needs.
Retainer Services- For more details regarding the advantages and benefits of this program, please call our office or read the Retainer Therapy Services section in our brochure, which is accessible from the Home page.
